How can we help you?

Your Work Diary

Every hourly contract has its own Work Diary.

The Work Diary is useful to literally show what you are working on during the week.

It shows a grid of work-in-progress snapshots in hourly rows, each representing a 10-minute billing segment.

You can log your time by iJobDesk Desktop App.

To log your time:

  • Open the iJobDesk Desktop App and log in with your account credentials.
  • Choose a contract, enter a memo, and click [Start] button.

To see your work diary:

  • Go to [Workroom] / [My Contracts].
  • Find the contract in the list and click the [Work Diary] button.

To update your work diary:

  • Go to [Workroom] / [My Contracts].
  • Find the contract in the list and click the [Work Diary] button.
  • Click the memo bar or check the box on the segments to update and press the [Edit Memo] button.
  • Make the changes you want then press [Update].

Only the freelancer can add, edit, and delete time in their Work Diary. You can only edit, delete, add time in the current week’s Work Diary.

The previous work’s Work Diary is no longer editable.

The only time within the weekly limit on an hourly contract will be billed.

How to read your work diary

When you log your time by the iJobDesk Desktop App, it takes a snapshot 6 times per hour (every 10 minutes). It will update your work diary with your hourly activity and work-in-progress snapshots.

The memo bars in the Work Diary are color-coded to indicate the status:

  • Green - Auto-tracked time by the App
  • Yellow - Manual time not captured by the App

The meter records the total number of mouse clicks, scroll actions, and keystrokes per 10 minutes. It doesn’t record what you clicked or typed.
